Solar eclipses have mystified and even terrified people for thousands of years. What causes a solar eclipse and why were they sometimes regarded as omens of doom?
This talk will focus on the dynamics of a solar eclipse and provide information regarding what to expect in the Chicagoland area on April 8. Also discussed will be famous solar eclipses such as the one that made Albert Einstein an international celebrity.
Each attendee will receive a pair of eclipse viewing glasses while supplies last. Glasses will be distributed after the lecture.
