The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (or FAFSA) usually opens October 1, but is again delayed to December this year (2024) due to changes in the law that affected the application's design.
FAFSA is the form you fill out to qualify for federal grants and loans to help pay for college. Colleges may also use the FAFSA to determine eligibility for other financial aid. Complete the FAFSA here.
