Visit the Library

We're thrilled to begin welcoming people back into the library! Please call before you visit so we can make sure we aren't at capacity and so that you don't catch us in the middle of disinfecting. You can come into the building for:

Computer Use

Grab & Go (browsing and fax/copier use)

You can schedule a library visit up to 7 days in advance, or right when you pull up if you're feeling lucky.

Be sure to check out the rules and FAQ to make your visit as smooth as possible. Note: You do not need an appointment to use curbside pickup! See our curbside hours.

Know Before You Go:

Rules for Library Appointments

face mask

1: Facial coverings are required.

  • Face coverings (masks) must be worn at all times within library buildings
  • Face coverings must cover your mouth and nose
  • Face coverings include scarves, bandanas, masks, or any other fabric covering that can be worn over your mouth and nose.

2: Appointments may be made up to 7 days in advance.

3: Appointments are for 1 hour per day.

4: Only one appointment on the books at a time.

  • There is a 24-hour waiting period after the end of one appointment before another may be booked. This is to ensure equal access to our limited resources.

5: Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

6: Only one person per appointment unless:

  • You are under 16 years old (an adult is required)
  • You need a helper (ie, a translator, technical help for computers, etc)
    • You must let us know at the time of booking if someone will accompany you

7: Arrive on time. Your time will not be extended if you're late.

8: You will need your library card number and PIN to log on to a computer.

9: Practice social distancing.

  • Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between yourself and other people in the building, including library staff.
  • Staff will not be able to provide "over the shoulder" assistance as we will be maintaining the recommended distance.

10: If you feel sick, stay home. There is no penalty for canceling library appointments!

Appointment FAQs:

Why do I have to make an appointment?

Library appointments make it easy to control the number of people in the building so that we can comply with CDC guidelines for physical distancing. Appointments also mean you don't have to take a chance on all the computers being taken when you arrive at the library. No standing in line, no congregating in waiting areas, no wasted trips. It's convenient and safe!

What if I can't wear a mask? It's not that I don't want to...

Please let us know when you schedule your appointment if you are unable to wear a mask. We're happy to work with you to come up with a solution that allows you to access the services you need.

Can I print during my appointment?

You must make a computer appointment in order to print (computer use is not available during Grab & Go appointments). You may print up to 25 pages per appointment. Charges will be added to your library account once per month. We can not accept money during appointments.

What can I do during a Grab & Go appointment?

You can browse our shelves and check out library materials. You can also use the copier or fax machine. Note that toys will not be available in the children's area.

Computer use requires a separate computer appointment.
