Access INSPIRE from Home!

INSPIRE is a collection of databases provided free of charge to all Indiana residents - essentially a virtual, online library. It's a service of the Indiana State Library, funded by the Indiana General Assembly through Build Indiana Funds and The Institute of Museum and Library Services.

INSPIRE is available instantly from any LCPL location! You can also use it from home by following a few simple steps.

How to Use INSPIRE From Home

  1. First, head over to INSPIRE and give it a try. Some IP addresses are already recognized by INSPIRE and you may already have access!

If your IP address is not recognized, you will either see a yellow ribbon across the top of INSPIRE that says "Indiana Residents Please Log in for Full Access to INSPIRE"...

...Or you will get a pop-up window that says "Login here for full access to INSPIRE."

  2. Click "Log In". You will be prompted to create an account. Simply fill in the information and you will be given a temporary password for immediate use!

INSPIRE will mail you a postcard with your permanent password.
