We celebrated the roots and impact of black music on American culture with first-hand accounts of what it was like to be a black entertainer in mid-20th century America from Willie Rogers of legendary gospel group The Soul Stirrers and Billy Shelton of The Spaniels Forever. The evening was MC'd by Tom Lounges.

owner of Chicago Hauntings Tours
We were delighted to welcome Ursula Bielski to the Merrillville Branch for a special presentation about her work as a paranormal investigator of Chicagoland phenomena.
The LCPL Foundation Presents The Ralph Kinsey Art Exhibit:
June 10th at the Griffith-Calumet Township Branch
Music and art lovers joined us for a special after-hours reception with artist and musician
Ralph Kinsey. The reception included a live acoustic performance by world-famous Blues
recording group, The Kinsey Report.
